Shura Council Engages in Discussion Session of "Emergency Item" in IPU

General- Qatar Kigali, October 12 (QNA) - The Shura Council participated Wednesday in the 145th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) which is hosted by the Rwandan capital Kigali. The council's delegation to the assembly was headed by HE Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti. The assembly discussed the requests of including an emergency item in the Assembly agenda, where the item submitted by Chile with respect to the Russian-Ukraine war was selected. The request is poised to be submitted to the ad hoc committee assigned to prepare the draft resolution, and ultimately to be voted for approval by Inter-Parliamentary Union. (QNA)
