Shura Council Participates in Human Rights, Democracy Forum in Geneva

Doha, November 24 (QNA) - The Shura Council participates in the Fourth session of the Forum on Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law, which kicked off Thursday in Geneva, and organized, virtually and in person, by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, under the theme "Strengthening Democracies to Build Back Better: Challenges and Opportunities". The Council was represented in the forum, remotely, by HE member of the Shura Council Issa bin Arar Al Rumaihi. Parliamentarians, international officials and specialists from bodies and organizations related to human rights and the rule of law are participating in the forum, as they will discuss, over two days, several axes related to democracy and its role in rebuilding societies, education in times of crisis, ways to develop stronger institutions and build trust in government, and strengthening guarantees to face future challenges and crises.
