Shura support for Morocco’s decision to sever relations with Iran

Manama, May 3 (BNA): Shura Council, in a statement issued today, highlighted solidarity with Morocco’s decision to sever relations with Iran because of ongoing interference in its internal affairs and providing military support for the so-called "Polisario" through its allied Hezbollah. The Shura statement attached significance to a unified Arab stance to confront the Iranian interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries and its attempts to spread violence and chaos and threaten the Arab national security. The statement stressed support for Morocco’s initiatives concerning autonomy in the Moroccan Sahara. It also expressed support for Morocco’s measures to protect its unity and sovereignty against challenges and foreign intentions. It praised the longstanding ties binding the two kingdoms thanks to the two leader’s keenness to constantly promote them in various fields. It expressed appreciation of Morocco’s supportive stances towards Bahrain.
