Singaporean 'Porsche' caravan tours Thai Andaman Coast
BANGKOK, October 16 (TNA) - Thailand's southern Satun province along the Andaman coast has welcomed an upscale Porsche Caravan from neighbouring Singapore.
Deputy Head of Satun's Provincial Administrative Organisation Rosi Baigadem, along with representatives of the Wang Prachan provincial customs office and those of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)'s regional office in nearby Trang province, on Tuesday jointly received the Singaporean Porsche Club caravan, comprising of 29 Porsche cars and 50 participants.
The visiting Porsche caravan is expected to stay overnight in Satun before traveling to other Thai destinations where the wealthy participations enjoy sceneries and activities organised for them.
The Porsche caravan started from Singapore, travelling to Malaysia's Alor Setar and Thailand's southern Satun, Trang, Krabi and Pang-nga provinces through the Wang Prachan border checkpoint, a cross-border route expected to become a vital link to tourist destinations in Satun and nearby Thai provinces in the foreseeable future.
Porsche is a sport car, priced at least 10 million baht per unit and popular among several millionaires. (TNA)
