SLRB headquarters wins MEED award

Manama, May 31 (BNA): The Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) headquarters has won the 2015 MEED Quality Awards for Projects. SLRB President Shaikh Salman bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa today received Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf who handed him the award. SLRB resources and IT director-general Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa and other senior officials attended. Assistant under-secretary for Roads Huda Fakhro and assistant under-secretary for projects and building maintenance Mona Al-Mutawa were presented with the award in a ceremony held in Dubai, along with two other ministry's prizewinning projects. The SLRB headquarters comprises 12 floors, a mezzanine floor which houses a cafeteria and gallery, basement car park for 32 VIPs, and 320 covered outdoor car parks for employees and visitors. The building’s total built-up area is 24,375 square metres and the total building height above ground level is 72.5 metres.
