Southern governor chairs security meeting

Manama, Aug. 28 (BNA): Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, chaired the Security Committee’s meeting at the governorate’s premises here today. Southern Governorate Police Director-General, Brigadier Hamad bin Ali Al-Marri, and committee members attended. HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali stressed the keenness of the Southern Governorate to implement the directives of Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to continue the security measures aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the society, in cooperation with all the relevant security authorities. The governor discussed with the member officers the security and traffic preparations ahead of the new academic year to ensure the smooth flow of traffic on all avenues and roads across the Southern Governorate, which inclues 60 public and private schools. He underlined the importance of harnessing all security efforts to achieve the highest levels of traffic safety for all road users, wishing students every success in the new academic year. He also discussed the negative social phenomena in public places and mosques, and ways to reduce them in order to preserve the sanctity of houses of worship. The governor expressed thanks and appreciation to all security authorities for the great role they are playing to maintain security and stability, reiterating the Southern Governorate’s support for them.
