Southern Governor honours Police Directorate officers

Manama, Apr. 19 (BNA): Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa honoured the Southern Governorate Police Directorate officers led by Director General Brigadier Hamad Ali Al Merri. The celebration was held at the Royal Academy of Police (RAP), in the presence of a large number of senior officers and Interior Ministry personnel. The honour is a tribute for the tremendous efforts and continuous cooperation between the Southern Governorate and the Police Directorate which yielded many security achievements that contributed to boosting security in the Southern Governorate. The Southern Governor praised the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. He described those directives as a roadmap to promote security as a top priority and pre-requisite for growth and development in the Southern Governorate. He also paid tribute to Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for his unlimited support, commending the ongoing cooperation between the Southern Governorate and the Police directorate which helped solve many issues. Captain Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Ka’abi expressed, on behalf of all the officers of the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, heartfelt gratitude for the kind gesture, describing it as a motive to exert more efforts in providing security services that live up to the aspirations of the citizens. At the end of the celebration, the Southern Governor presented a commemorative gift to RAP Commander Brigadier Ibrahim Hamad Al-Shib.
