Southern governor receives Thai ambassador

Manama, Aug. 29 (BNA): Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, received here today the Thai Ambassador to Bahrain, Thanis Na Songkhla. The governnor stressed the distinguished relations between Bahrain and Thailand and their friendly peoples, noting that the two countries have set the example in cooperation and friendship. He affirmed the unlimited support of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa for the Bahraini-Thai relations. HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali discussed with the ambassador areas of cooperation and coordination between the Southern Governorate and the Thai Embassy through supporting the embassy’s cultural programmes and activities aimed at consolidating bilateral relations. The envoy lauded the governor’s interest in boosting the outstanding bilateral ties, affirming the Thai Embassy’s readiness to cooperate with the Southern Governorate to bolster relations between the two countries.
