Southern Governorate holds meeting with citizens

Manama, Mar. 20 (BNA): The Southern Governorate today held a meeting with a number of citizens and residents from the governorate.
The meeting follows the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to implement a string of development and service projects across the Southern Governorate, and is in line with the keenness of the Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, to open up channels of direct communication with the local citizens.
Director of Information and Follow-up at the Southern Governorate, Salah Mohammed Shehab, gave a presentation in which he highlighted the major role played the governor to reach out to the citizens’ needs through field visits and direct meetings with the citizens.
He also highlighted the mechanism which had been created to detect the needs of the citizens through direct cooperation and coordination between the Southern Governorate and various ministries.
He also pointed out that HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali is keen on holding direct meetings with the citizens to listen to their remarks about their conditions and consult them on their expectations regarding the development of the level of services delivered to them.
Head of the Southern Governorate’s Investment Development Department, Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Romaihi, in his presentation, focused on the projects adopted by the governorate for the benefit of the citizens, highlight the governorate’s efforts to monitor their needs, as well as the mechanism to follow up on their implementation.
Those present expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Southern Governor for the tremendous efforts he is exerting to identify their various needs, highlighting his initiatives to preserve the governorate’s historical landmarks and heritage.
The Southern Governorate’s team listened to the citizens’ remarks and suggestions regarding ways to enhance the services provided to them.
