Speaker: Boosting unity, social cohesion is national duty

Manama, Dec. 3 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Malla stressed that boosting national unity, social cohesion and patriotism is a collective national responsibility in which all civil society institutions have to take part. He pointed out that Bahrain is a homeland for all, which is always emphasised by His Majesty the King, stressing the need for more functions and societies to further foster national unity and exercise their community role in light of regional challenges. Al Malla made the remarks as he received today President of Bahrain Initiatives Society Othman Sharif, in the presence of Deputy President Hassan Al Aradi and Relations Officer Ghazi Abdel Mohsin. He warned of foreign interference and called to embrace a positive spirit to work, achieve and motivate citizens to participate in the kingdom's comprehensive development process. The Representatives Council Speaker congratulated the society on its official declaration, praising its goals to serve the nation, boost patriotism and contribute to the kingdom's development under the royal reform project and the democratic march.
