Speaker: Manama Dialogue milestone for regional growth, security

Manama, Nov. 23 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal has described the IISS Manama Dialogue, which is hosted by Bahrain for the 15th consecutive year, as a milestone for regional development, security and stability. She said the conference is a vital platform to exchange views, discuss issues and map out solutions to various challenges. The Representatives Council Speaker praised the wisdom of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the kingdom’s achievements in light of the comprehensive development march. She also affirmed keenness to boost cooperation and coordination with brotherly and friendly countries to continue achieving the sustainable development goals promoting regional stability and fostering global security and peace. She also pointed out that the international coalition to fight all forms of terrorism and extremism, secure international passages for trade and energy and free navigation in the region is an international responsibility as it is related to global economy for all. She noted that the Manama Dialogue is considered as one of the most significant security and political conferences to achieve forecast peace and confront dangers and challenges through an integrated vision and high coordination. The Representatives Council Speaker thanked the organizers of the conference, stressing the council’s support to all efforts aimed at promoting growth, security and stability in the region and the world.
