Speaker meets Serbian Parliament president

Belgrade, Oct.14 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal urged the international community to act fast and protect maritime navigation in the Arabian Gulf region and all parts of the world for the sake of the global economy. She stressed the necessity of compliance with the international laws and conventions on maritime safety to protect security and peace, reiterating Bahrain†s resolve to cooperate with brotherly and friendly countries to support the protection of maritime navigation. She affirmed Bahrain†s keenness, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on consolidating global security and stability, supporting the culture of peace, tolerance and coexistence. She highlighted Bahrain†s landmark strides and the culture of achievements in all fields which contributes to strengthening social cohesion and bolstering tolerance and peaceful co-existence. The Speaker made the statement as she Serbian Parliament President Maja Gojkovic on the sidelines of her participation at the 141st session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
