Speaker praises HRH Crown Prince’s visit to the USA

Manama, Sept. 19(BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawziya bint Abdulla Zainal hailed the successful visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister to the United States of America. She praised HRH the Crown Prince’s meetings with US President Donald Trump, and other senior officials, hailing military agreements which serve strategic alliance and partnership binding the two friendly countries and joint efforts to achieve regional and international security and stability. "The Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, is keen on strengthening cooperation with all friendly and brotherly countries out of firm belief in concerted international collective work to confront political and security challenges facing the world", she said. The Speaker underscored the importance of HRH the Crown Prince’s visit which came amidst critical security conditions in the Arabian Gulf regional due to Iranian threats to regional and international security and peace, blatant interference in neighbouring countries’ internal affairs, habouring of terrorist militias and attempts to disrupt maritime navigation corridors. She cited the recent attacks on Saudi Aramco oil plants and stressed the need for allied and friendly countries to muster all efforts, stressed the US pivotal and strategic role in maintaining regional security and stability. The Speaker said that the legislative branch of government would always support Bahrain’s strategic policies which focus on maintaining regional security and stability. She reiterated the legislative backing the consolidation of joint cooperation with the USA.
