Speaker praises Isa Award for service to Humanity

Manama, Nov. 12 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal praised the Isa Award for service to Humanity as a civilisational milestone of high international status. She pointed out that the award was launched as per a royal order, stressing that it is an assertion of Bahrain’s role in boosting human welfare. The Representatives Council Speaker expressed happiness about attending the distribution ceremony of the 4th edition of the award which was held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She said that the award was named after late His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa whose name is carved in the heart of every Bahraini. She stressed that the civilisational initiatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain are continuing under the comprehensive development march spearheaded by HM the King. She lauded the noble goal of the award which is granted to those who work on changing the world through their humanitarian initiatives and unrelenting efforts to work out innovative solutions to humanitarian and social issues. The Representatives Council Speaker commended the tremendous efforts made by the award’s Board of Trustees under the chairmanship of Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Deputy Premier. She also congratulated the Pakistani charity organisation EDHI on winning the 4th edition of the award, praising its great humanitarian work.
