Speaker raises bill on regulating drones

Manama, July 23 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, raised a bill on regulating the import, manufacture, assembly, trading, possession or trafficking of the unmanned aircraft systems (drones). The explanatory note of the bill indicated that the drones might cause a threat to public security, the right to privacy, in addition to the state interest. It added in addition to the use of drones in commercial, scientific or recreational aspects, but at the same time they might be used as a tool to commit serious crimes.
