Speaker receives Canadian ambassador

Manama, Feb. 22 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, has stressed the kingdom’s desire to bolster relations with friendly Canada in various fields, and to take advantage of the long-standing bilateral ties and joint cooperation to achieve more achievements that benefit the two sides. Al-Mulla asserted that the Bahraini-Canadian relations are progressing steadily in many fields, especially education, trade and investments, affirming that the joint cooperation agreements have boosted bilateral ties. The speaker was speaking while receiving here today the Riyadh-Resident Canadian Ambassador to Bahrain, Dennis Horak, in the presence of MP Mohammed Al-Jowdar. Al-Mulla lauded the tremendous efforts exerted by the envoy in order to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries, voicing pride in the advanced level reached by bilateral relations thanks to the leaderships’ interest and support.
