Speaker receives US ambassador

Manama, Jan. 5 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam underlined Bahrain’s comprehensive development process spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to achieve the desired goals and aspirations. He also commended the continuous support and efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Speaker lauded steady development of Bahrain-US relations and common keenness to further bolster bilateral cooperation in various fields. He also pointed out Bahrain’s keenness on supporting the international efforts to promote security, stability, growth and prosperity, back the peace-keeping and counter-terrorism efforts and foster tolerance and coexistence. The Speaker of the Council of Representatives was speaking as he received today the US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Steven Bondy and his accompanying delegation. They discussed ways of boosting bilateral relations mainly in the economic and parliamentary field. The US ambassador voiced his country’s appreciation of Bahrain’s keenness to further strengthen bilateral ties, praising the kingdom’s development and wishing it further growth and prosperity.
