Speaker: Saudi Arabia essential for safeguarding Arab, Islamic nations' security

Manama, Sep. 22 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has stressed that Saudi Arabia enjoys a great international weight, and plays a pivotal influential role that reflects on efforts to achieve stability and peace in the region, champion just causes and strength unity in the face of the various challenges that the Arab and Islamic nations are going through. The speaker lauded the deep-rooted exceptional Bahraini-Saudi relations that are based on high bonds, strategic ties, kinship and shared destiny. In a cable to the Saudi Shura Council Chairman, Abdulla bin Mohammad Al Al-Shaikh, marking Saudi Arabia’s National Day, the speaker praised Saudi Arabia’s glorious march, landmark achievements and great civilisational progress which began during the era of the Founder, the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Saud, and still continues today during the prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. She expressed sincere congratulations to the Saudi Shura Council chairman on his country’s National Day, wishing sisterly Saudi Arabia further progress and prosperity. She pointed out that Saudi Arabia is a ‘safety valve’ and a bulwark that safeguards the security and stability of the Arab and Islamic nations, noting that it plays a leading role on the humanitarian, political and economic levels regionally and internationally.
