Speaker welcomes Egyptian parliamentary delegation upon arrival in Bahrain

Manama, Feb. 11 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, today welcomed a high-level Egyptian parliamentary delegation, led by the Speaker of Egypt’s House of Representatives, Chancellor Dr. Hanafy Ali El-Gebali, upon their arrival at the Bahrain International Airport. The Egyptian parliamentary delegation is on an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the invitation of Speaker Fawzia Zainal. The visit crowns the deep-rooted solid fraternal relations between Bahrain and Egypt, and the progress they are witnessing at all levels and in all fields, thanks to the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of Egypt. Speakers Zainal and El-Gebali will tomorrow co-chair the official parliamentary talks due to be held at the premises of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives. Talks will focus on ways to develop bilateral parliamentary relations so as to achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly countries. The Egyptian parliamentary delegation will also hold meetings with a number of senior state officials in the kingdom. The visiting high-level Egyptian parliamentary delegation was also welcomed upon arrival by several MPs, Representatives Council’s Secretary-General and the Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain.
