Speaker wraps up UAE visit

Dubai, Feb. 4 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, and her accompanying delegation, today wrapped up their visit to the United Arab Emirates. The visit, carried out at the invitation of the UAE Federal National Council (FNC) Speaker, Saqr Ghobash, aimed to enhance joint parliamentary action, bolster bilateral cooperation and unify parliamentary diplomacy efforts. During the visit, the two sides held expanded talks at the premises of the UAE FNC in Abu Dhabi, and agreed to inaugurate a new phase of joint parliamentary work, including joint parliamentary initiatives, unifying stances vis-à-vis various issues, especially at various Arab, regional and international parliamentary gatherings, increasing meetings and exchanged visits, as well as supporting projects aimed at achieving the development goals of the two brotherly countries. The speaker and her accompanying delegation also paid a visit to Expo 2020 Dubai, and were informed about the pavilions of the 192 participating countries. The delegation left Dubai today and were seen off by the UAE FNC Speaker and several members. The Speaker expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to her UAE FNC counterpart for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to her and the Bahraini parliamentary delegation throughout their visit to the UAE.
