Sri Lankan president receives Bahraini ambassador's credentials

Manama, May 7 (BNA): Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena has received credentials of Ambassador Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Qaud, as Ambassador of Bahrain to Sri Lanka, residing in New Delhi.
During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed to President Sirisena the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
The ambassador extended their well wishes to the president of Sri Lanka and its friendly people further progress and prosperity.
The president tasked the ambassador to convey his greetings to HM the King, HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and commended the Kingdom’s support to Sri Lanka, wishing the ambassador success in his duties.
The ambassador reaffirmed Bahrain's solidarity with Sri Lanka in the recent heinous terrorists attacks that took place, reiterating the Kingdom’s unequivocal position against all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism.
The two sides expressed their pride in the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and peoples, stressing the need to strengthen cooperation relations in various fields.
