Stability of Anti-epidemic Situation Guaranteed in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- All sectors and units of the DPRK focus all their efforts on completely realizing the voluntary unity of all the people in thinking and action under the stable anti-epidemic situation. Based on a more stable anti-epidemic system, the state emergency anti-epidemic headquarters conducts operation and guidance by directing its efforts to building up the all-people anti-epidemic defence line in the current condition that it has been confirmed that there are no cases of the malignant virus in the country. While comparing and analyzing on a monthly, weekly and daily basis the situation of the epidemic spread since the end of April and steadily perfecting scientific treatment methods for those having aftereffects, it is executing steps to maintain the stable anti-epidemic situation. Works are intensified to carefully examine from a scientific viewpoint such loops and gaps that may become blind spots in the epidemic prevention under the rainy season in which frequent rainfalls are accompanied with downpours, and take counter-measures. Also, efficient steps are taken to remove the source of pollution, improve the rainwater disposing capacity through strengthened reinforcement and maintenance of rainwater pumping stations and drainage systems and get rid of the sources of outbreak and spread of seasonal diseases. While solidifying the blockade barriers in borderline and frontline areas and the sea, practical measures are taken to further strengthen the all-people monitoring and report system, aimed to make the working people and residents not contact with alien things and wild animals but immediately notify of them. Efforts are made to cut off the inroads of new COVID-19 sub-variants and contagious diseases by strictly disposing as demanded by the anti-epidemic rules such rubbish flowing into rivers in borderline areas and coastal areas and dead birds and wild animals with their cause unknown. Amid the anti-epidemic atmosphere growing higher across society, emergency anti-epidemic units and curative and preventive organs at all levels are conducting the intensive publicity to make the working people and residents in their units and areas help and control with each other and further enhance their voluntary and active role. -0-
