State of emergency imposed in one more oblast of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Apr. 14, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov has signed Tuesday a Decree “On imposing a state of emergency in Naryn town and At-Bashy region of Naryn Oblast”, his press service reported.
In particular, the Decree states:
"On March 11, 2020 the World Health Organization declared the spread of a new COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic.
During the period from March 18 to Apr.14, 2020 430 facts of infection of citizens with coronavirus infection were confirmed on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, including 5 in Naryn town and 19 in At-Bashy region of Naryn Oblast.
In accordance with paragraph 2 of Part 9 of Article 64 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, Articles 3, 4 and 7 of the Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On State of Emergency, solely for the protection of life and health of citizens, their safety and public order, as well as to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection to other territories of the Kyrgyz Republic, I order:
- To declare a state of emergency in Naryn town and At-Bashy region of Naryn Oblast of the Kyrgyz Republic for the period from 8:00 a.m. on Apr. 15, 2020 to 8:00 a.m. on Apr. 30, 2020;
- To establish a Commandant Office on the territory of Naryn town and At-Bashy region of Naryn Oblast to ensure the state of emergency;
- To appoint Head of Naryn Oblast Internal Affairs Department Ulanbek Aaliyev as Commandant of Naryn town and At-Bashy region of Naryn Oblast for the period of introduction of the state of emergency;
- To send the present Decree to the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament);

As of Apr. 14, number of coronavirus cases in the republic has reached 430.
In total, 71 people have recovered and discharged from hospitals, five have passed away.
By Presidential Decree of Sooronbay Jeenbekov, a state of emergency has been extended till Apr. 30, 2020 in Bishkek and Osh cities, Nookat and Kara-Suu regions of Osh Oblast and Suzak region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast.
