The State of Qatar's Delegation Conclude Participation in 9th Ministerial Conference on Education for Circular Economy

Nicosia, October 07 (QNA) - The State of Qatar's delegation concluded their participation in the 9th ministerial conference on Education for Circular Economy/Sustainable Infrastructure. The conference took place in Nicosia over the past three days with a host of countries, authorities, regional and international organizations participating. On the sidelines of the conference, HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Sheikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al-Thani met with HE the Cypriot Minister of Environment Costas Kadis, and HE Minister of Environment in the Republic of Tajikistan Sheralizoda. HE the Minister discussed with them joint cooperation and the scope of expanding relations in the environmental and climate change fields. The conference dealt with three global issues; circular economy and sustainable infrastructure, sustainable tourism, and education for sustainable development. The conference also saw the adoption of the Ministerial Declaration on the Environment in Europe, which emphasizes the commitment to the transition to a green economy, work to improve sustainable infrastructure, and the importance of focusing on education for sustainable development in order to enhance environmental governance internationally. The conference and the meeting were attended by HE Special Envoy for Climate Change and Sustainability Badr Omar Al Dafaa and HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Cyprus Ali Youssef Al Moulla. (QNA)
