Strong Bahraini-Indonesian relations praised

Manama, Apr. 9 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh lauded historic and growing relations between Bahrain and Indonesia thanks to the leaderships' keenness to bolster them in all fields. He praised Indonesia's honorable stances towards Bahrain, expressing appreciation of growing cooperation between the two friendly countries regarding issues of common interest. The Shura Council Chairman was speaking as he received today First Deputy Speaker of Indonesia's People's Representative Council Fakhri Hamza and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Shura Council First Deputy Chairman Jamal Mohammed Fakhro. He stressed that the relations of friendship of more than 40 years between both countries are growing remarkably in the economic, trade and investment fields. He praised Indonesia's democratic experience as well as its long experience in the legislative field, voicing keenness on promoting cooperation between the Shura Council and the People's Representative Council so as to unify stances concerning issues of common interest. The People's Representative Council Deputy Speaker expressed thanks and respect to the Shura Council Chairman, lauding the role of the Shura Council in promoting the democratic experience in Bahrain. He pointed out opening an embassy for Bahrain in Jakarta, describing the step as essential to promote bilateral cooperation. The meeting was attended by Head of the Legal and Economic Affairs Committee Khalid Hussain Al Masqati, Head of the Public Amenities and Environment Committee Dr. Mohammed Ali Hassan Ali, Head of the Women and Child Affairs Committee Dr. Fatima Abdul Jabbar Al Kooheji and Deputy Head of the Legal and Economic Affairs Committee Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul.
