Successful royal visit to Egypt, local issues reviewed

Manama, May 4 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, at Al-Sakhir Palace today. HM King Hamad informed HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince about the results of his successful official visit to Egypt. HM the King highlighted his fruitful talks with the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, and the package of agreements, memoranda of understanding and executive programmes signed between the two brotherly countries in all fields, which, he said, will boost the solid strategic bilateral relations for the common interests of the two countries and their peoples. HM King Hamad lauded the gracious and outstanding welcome accorded to him and his accompanying high-profile delegation, which, he stressed, reflected the civilisation and nobility of Egypt and its beloved people. HM the King emphasised the "pivotal" role played by Egypt thanks to its honourable history, strategic weight in supporting Arab issues and status as a cornerstone of regional security and stability. The meeting also reviewed ways to consolidate the national action march in order to bring about more achievements for the nation and the citizens. In this regard, HM King Hamad lauded the efforts exerted by HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince and their constant follow-up on government work, and keenness on developing it to enhance progress and ensure the welfare of the Bahraini people.
