Supreme Judiciary Council, Labor Ministry Open New Headquarters for Labor Disputes Resolution
Doha, October 26 (QNA) - The Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) and the Ministry of Labor (MOL) inaugurated a new headquarters for labor dispute resolution committees at the SJC building in the Industrial Area, in the presence of HE SJC President Dr. Hassan bin Lahdan Al Hassan Al Muhannadi, and HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri.
This step aims to increase the geographical distribution of the committees, and keenness to provide more facilitation in labor judicial transactions, and the speed of their completion in a short time and under one roof.
The inauguration illustrates the tireless efforts of both sides to ensure the continuity of all the procedures of the judicial committees' work in a normal and accurate manner, and continue to perform the tasks assigned to them, especially during the World Cup period.
It also confirms the continued great interest of the State in the labor aspect in a distinctive and special way, and the provision of means of support to all workers in the State.
It also implements the cabinet decision No. 6 of 2018 on the formation of labor dispute resolution committees, the rules and procedures to be followed before them, the mechanism for implementing their decisions and determining their remuneration.
The new headquarters includes the presence of a team of judgments enforcement to facilitate their procedures and decisions issued by labor dispute resolution committees, in addition to the presence of 5 labor committees during the current judicial season working on the settlement of disputes, in addition to choosing the headquarters to be near labor gatherings in the Industrial Area for easy access for more people.
