Supreme Judiciary Council's strategic developments highlighted

Manama, Mar. 30 (BNA): The Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) has hosted a dialogue in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with more than 40 ambassadors and diplomats. The Council reviewed several themes, including key strategic developments and transformations in the Council from 2013 to 2016 and the nature of Bahrain's independent judiciary system since 1783. The Council reviewed the outcomes of studies on the reality of the judicial work and reforms efforts undertaken by the Council, the Judiciary Authority Strategy 2020, the main objectives and initiatives accomplished as well as the Council's efforts to implement other strategic goals. The Council's role in the judicial industry and Bahrain's pioneering experience in the National Future Judges Project were also showcased during the session as well as the development of the judiciary structure for protecting economic development. The focus was on the strategic trend of a judicial security that supports and attracts investment, raising Bahrain's credit rating through the global competitiveness review 2015 and plans aimed to adjust Bahrain's ranking to join the nations having advanced judiciary. The meeting also reviewed the Council's accomplishments in protecting and boosting of human rights as well as the Moot Court project aimed to support the judiciary system and its development. The Council displayed a mini photographic exhibition affirming its endeavour to boost cooperation and integration for the sake of preservation of the prestigious position enjoyed by Bahrain's judiciary system.
