Suspect Claims A Police Officer Ordered Drugs

Jakarta, Jan 10 (ANTARA) - HR, 36, has been arrested at the Sultan Syarif Kasim Airport in Pekanbaru, Riau, for carrying 20 grams of methamphetamine. According to him, a police officer in North Jakarta had ordered the drug. Security officers arrested HR at the Sultan Syarif Kasim Airport on January 9, at 3 pm, when he was undergoing security screening before boarding GA 0177. When the security officers arrested HR, he claimed he was working with the police to trap an international methamphetamine syndicate. According to him, he was carrying 20 grams of methamphetamine to catch drugs dealers. The security officers did not believe HR�s story, and they dragged HR to the Bukitraya Police station in Pekanbaru. "We then sent him to the drugs and narcotics unit of the Pekanbaru Police Office," said the Head of the Bukitraya Police Station, Police Commissioner Paniangan. Paniangan added that investigation is not over. The Director of the Pekanbaru Police Office, Major Commissioner Adang Ginanjar, told the press, "The investigation is not over. Once I get accurate information, I will inform you.� Meanwhile, according to the Police Information Centre, HR still claims he is working alongside the police.
