Suspect remanded in custody for posting defamatory tweets

Manama, Mar. 28 (BNA): Chief Prosecutor of the Capital Governorate Mohammed Al Maliki said the Public Prosecution received a notification from the Cyber Crime Directorate about a suspect who had posted defamatory Tweets on the social media website Tweeter. The Public Prosecution launched an investigation into the incident, questioned the suspect and confronted him with evidences. It remanded him in custody pending investigation in preparation to continue legal procedures.
