Swedish government presents highest honor to late King Bhumibol

BANGKOK, Oct 27 (TNA) -- The Swedish government conducted a ceremony to present the highest honor to His Majesty late King Bhumibol, with a procession to move the king’s coat of arms to the burial church of Swedish monarchs. The ceremony took place on Oct 26. King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s coat of arms was transferred from the Stockholm Palace to the Riddarholmen Church as His Majesty late King Bhumibol had obtained the Knight of the Swedish Royal Order of the Seraphim, the highest royal decoration of Sweden, on April 5, 1950. Swedish guards of honor started to carry the coat of arms from the palace at 11.55am local time. The bell of the church rang from 12pm to 1pm in honor of the late king. Sweden traditionally conducts the ceremony to honor the persons who received its highest royal order. It organized the ceremony on the royal cremation day of His Majesty late King Bhumibol to show the highest honor to the late King. (TNA)
