SONGKHLA, THAILAND, November 15 (TNA) - Red flags have been placed along the beaches in Songkhla Province in the Thai Far South to bar people from swimming at sea due to strong wind and high waves at the moment.
Officials from the Nakhon Songkhla Municipality have put the red flags along a total of nine kilometres of Chalathat and Simila Beaches in Songkhla to warn international tourists not to swim in the rough sea currently for the sake of their own safety.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department’s southeastern coast office reported that a northeastern monsoon has prevailed the Gulf of Thailand and southern Thai areas, causing thunderstorms and heavy downpours in some areas. (TNA)
