Syria-born Bahraini fugitive often takes part in rioting in Qatif

Manama, Nov. 1 (BNA): As follow up to the statement of the Saudi Interior Ministry on the foiling of a major terrorist attack and the pursuit of fugitives, including a Bahraini, the General Director of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science announced on Tuesday that coordination continues with the Saudi authorities. He highlighted that the wanted Bahraini was born in Syria to a Bahraini father and Saudi mother and that he has consistently participated in rioting in the Qatif region in Saudi Arabia. He has two brothers who have taken part in terrorist acts; one of whom was killed in crossfire with the Saudi police. Their father was deported from Saudi Arabia and was banned from re-entering the country. The General Director said that immediately after the names of the fugitives were released by the Saudi authorities, arrest warrants were issued for them at Bahrain’s ports as part of the Ministry's counterterrorism strategy that protects lives, property, security and general safety.
