"Taawun 2" military drill kicks off tomorrow

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): National Guard Commander Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa emphasised the importance of "Taawun 2" (Cooperation 2) military drill in fighting terrorism. The military exercise, which will be jointly carried out by Bahrain and Kuwait National Guards, will kick off on February 21 and conclude on February 25. Lt. General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa said the drill is in line with the protocol signed by the National Guard Command of Bahrain and Kuwait to boost bilateral military cooperation. He lauded the advanced level of the Bahraini and Kuwaiti National Guards, stressing the importance of exchanging practical and technical experiences to boost readiness to assume responsibilities in all circumstances.
