Tatweer Petroleum holds board meeting

Manama, Apr. 4 (BNA): Energy MInister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tatweer Petroleum, Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, chaired Tatweer Petroleum Board of Directors Meeting as well as the Management Committee Meeting, both meeting were held on March 16 at the company’s headquarters in Al-Rumamin. Tatweer Petroleum shareholders including Occidental Petroleum, Mubadala Petroleum, nogaholding and other distinguished representatives from NOGA and Bapco were in attendance. Tatweer’s company operations and various corporate and operational matters were reviewed. The minister expressed his thanks for the hard work and dedication of Tatweer management and employees and encouraged Tatweer to continue its efforts to increase the oil and gas production in the Bahrain Field. Dr. Mirza praised Tatweer for the significant production increases it had made in driving oil production back up to rates not seen since almost 40 years ago. Before closing the meetings, Dr. Abdul Hussain expressed his gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Commander and First Deputy Premier Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for their wise leadership and their continued support to the Kingdom of Bahrain, its oil and gas industry and Tatweer Petroleum in particular.
