Technical Glitch, So MAS Aircraft Turns Back To Bangalore

By M. Saraswathi NEW DELHI (India), April 16 (Bernama) -- A technical glitch forced a Malaysia Airlines (MAS) aircraft bound for the Kuala Lumpur International Airport to turn back to the Bengaluru International Airport. MAS Area Manager (Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh) Hamzah Ayob said that MH193 took off at 12.25pm, and after about one and half hours in the air, there was a error in the weather radar system. The Boeing 737-800 had to turn back to Bengaluru Airport and landed safely, he told Bernama here Sunday. Hamzah said all 140 passengers were safe and given accommodation at a hotel, adding that they would board another flight to Malaysia at 7 tonight. -- BERNAMA
