Tehran`s Shirin Gallery offering modern Iranian art
TEHRAN,Dec.1(MNA) -- Tehran’s Shirin Gallery is offering an impressive range of modern Iranian art by veterans in a big sale named “Trends and Approaches”.
The exhibit has so far sold 15 paintings by eight artists, grossing about $263,000 since it was opened on November 18.
A painting by Sedaqat Jabbari that sold for over $368,000 has been the highlight of the exhibit and Nasrollah Afjei’s latest work came next at about $360,000.
A beautiful painting by Iranian female pioneer Behjat Sadr went for over $322,000, and Mohsen Vaziri-Moqaddam’s artwork came next at over $276,000.
Two other paintings by Nosratollah Moslemian and Kurosh Shishegaran were also among the items sold to date.
Reza Mafi’s two calligraphy artworks and Yaqub Emdadian’s two other paintings are also coming next.
Iran Darrudi, Siamak Ehsaii, Masud Arabshahi, Taha Behbahani, Aidin Aghdashlu, Abbas Kiarostami and Gholamhossein Nami are among the artists whose works are on sale.
The exhibit will be running until December 4 at the gallery located at No.9, Eighteenth Alley, Velenjak Street.
