Terrorists to face trial on September 19
Manama, Aug. 30 (BNA): Chief of the Terror Crime Prosecution Advocate General Chancellor Dr. Ahmed Al Hammadi said investigation into setting up a terrorist gang related to the so-called February 14 Coalition terrorist organisation and giving money to that group has been completed.
Thirteen suspects, six in custody and 7 at large, were referred to the Fourth High Criminal Court to stand trial on September 19 after being accused of setting up and joining a terror gang, funding it, illegal rallying and carrying acts of sabotage, possessing Molotov Cocktails and possessing pornographic photos and videos.
The Terror Crime Prosecution received a notification from the Criminal Investigation Directorate that two suspects had formed a terrorist gang related to the so called February 14 Coalition after being recruited by the terrorist organisation’s leaders abroad. The terrorist group aimed to carry out terror acts and target Sitra Police Centre, in particular, to prevent prevalence of stability and security in that region. The terrorist leaders abroad took charge of funding the gang which was joined by the other suspects.
The Terror Crime Prosecution relied in substantiating the accusations on verbal and technical evidences, including the witnesses’ testimonies and the suspects’ confessions.
