Thai army chief attends Brunei security meeting
BANGKOK, October 14 (TNA) - Thailand's army commander-in-chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha arrived Sunday in Brunei for the 13th ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting.
Other than the four-day meeting, which focuses on regional security threats, General Prayuth is also scheduled to confer with army chiefs of ASEAN on ways to strengthen military cooperation, particularly through sports. Their meeting is expected to help generate constructive cooperation under the principle of human rights.
ASEAN members are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
General Prayuth is scheduled to return to Thailand this Wednesday. (TNA)
