Thai Cabinet announces new public holidays
BANGKOK, April 12 (TNA) - The Thai Cabinet has resolved, with immediate effect, to add two new annual public holidays and to remove the Coronation Day of late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej from a public holiday.
Assistant Government Spokeswoman Colonel Taksada Sangkhachan told a press conference that the Thai Cabinet, at its weekly meeting at Bangkok's Government House on April 11, resolved to add every July 28, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun's birthday anniversay, and every October 13, the passing date of late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, as new public holidays.
According to the spokeswoman, the Cabinet, howver, decided to cancel every May 5, the Coronation Day of late His Majesty King Bhumibol,as a public holiday.(TNA)
