Thai PM to visit E Africa July 28-Aug 2

BANGKOK, July 26 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister and Defence Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will lead Thai business operators from the renewable energy, construction and tourism sectors to visit three potential countries in East Africa, including Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda, from July 28-August 2, 2013 to explore more national investment opportunities. Apart from their high economic potential, the three Eastern African nations also have plenty of natural resources, including natural gas, minerals and aquatic animals, to supply resources to Thailand, especially Mozambique which can be an emerging market for the Thai jewelry industry. In Mozambique, the Thai premier will meet Mozambique President Armando Guebuza and five agreements and memoranda of understanding (MOUs) will be signed. Thailand will also grant trucks, Tuk Tuk motored tricycles, mango fish and mosquito nets coated with pesticides to Mozambique. In Tanzania and Uganda, Thailand will sign agreements and MOUs on economic and academic cooperation with the two nations. (TNA)
