Thai PM's Adviser Calls On Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin (third from right) on Wednesday received a courtesy call from the Thai prime minister's adviser, Suthiphan Sririkanon (third from left) and a delegation from the kingdom's Education Ministry at parliament building, here. Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister of Malaysia, spent about 30 minutes at the meeting where they shared experiences and best practice in Islamic education. Sririkanon and the delegation are on a five-day visit to Malaysia until Friday. The Thai delegation also includes Narathiwat Province Private Education Commission director Karim Lohmin and Southern Thailand Religious Schools Association deputy president Sukarno Hasani. Also present during the meeting were Malaysia's Education director-general Abd Ghafar Mahmud and director of the ministry's Islamic Education Division, Abdullah Yunus. (photoBERNAMA) MALAYSIA
