Thai police gather evidence at fire-hit PWA HQs

BANGKOK, March 21 (TNA) - Forensic police officers have gathered evidence at the Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA)Headquarters on Chaeng Wattana Road on the outskirts of Bangkok, after a fire broke out at the office on March 20. Public works officials and those from the Engineering Institute of Thailand were also set to inspect the scene on Tuesday morning, as the damaged building structure was at risk of a collapse following Monday evening's three-hour blaze. The fire erupted on the fourth floor, the top floor of the building, where part of the Office of Auditor General was located with its important documents. All the documents were reportedly damaged, including those related to an ongoing probe on corruption. (TNA)
