Thailand to host ACD Summit Oct 9-10

BANGKOK, October 5 (TNA) - Thailand will host the 2nd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit in Bangkok during October 9–10, in which high-level officials from 34 countries in the region will participate. At the two-day meeting, themed “One Asia, Diverse Strengths”, the high-level Asian delegations are scheduled to endorse the ACD Vision for Asia Cooperation 2030, the Bangkok Declaration and the ACD Statement on Reigniting Growth through Partnerships for Connectivity. According to a press release posted on the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website, the outcome documents will reflect shared aspirations of ACD member states in shaping regional cooperation in the next 14 years, while also promoting beneficial and constructive actions that will drive ACD towards the building of a stable, inclusive and sustainable Asian community. The upcoming ACD summit will also emphasize how Asian countries could combine their diverse strengths for inclusive development of the Asian region, where no one will be left behind. (TNA)
