Thailand to join ASEAN LIC website

BANGKOK, Oct 23 (TNA) -- Thailand will enter a partnership with Asean LIC website to share information about the country’s court judgments and legislations. Speaking after a meeting with the ASEAN LIC (Legal Information Centre) website’s manager Mr Rajesh C Muttath at the Office of Court Justice on Friday (Oct 21), Mr Sarawut Benjakul, Vice President of the Office of Court Justice said Thailand would benefit from partnering with the website as it provides free online information about Thailand and other ASEAN countries which will help promote investment in Thailand. Information available on the website include relevant laws and tax systems for investment as well other laws that pertain to the general public. Aside from the Office of Court Justice, the website also plans to seek cooperation from the Thai Bar under the Royal Patronage, the Council of State, Ministry of Justice, and news agencies for accessing relevant legislation, verdicts, and current affairs news. The links are expected to go live from January 2017. (TNA)
