Thailand's White House campaign to be launched in 2017

BANGKOK, November 14 (TNA) - The Metropolitan Police Bureau plans to launch the "White House" campaign next year, a move aimed to clear all households in Bangkok completely off narcotics. Metropolitan Police Bureau Chief Police Lieutenant General Sanit Mahathavorn told journalists of the plan on Monday. The metropolitan police chief said the campaign will be part of good deeds Thai subjects intend to do to pay tribute to and to follow footsteps of late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Meanwhile, metropolitan police launched drug crackdowns in the city prior to this year's Loy Krathong Festival, which falls on November 14, as part of its security provided to the public. (TNA)
