Thailand's women empowerment on progress
BANGKOK, October 27 (TNA) - The government's policy on women empowerment has been on progress, as Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will chair the 2nd women empowerment fund panel meeting at Bangkok's Government House on October 29.
Kwanchai Wongnitikorn, Director General of the Thai Ministry of Interior's Community Development Department, told reporters that the next panel meeting will lay out strategies and discuss needed budget for the government-sponsored women empowerment fund.
According to senior official, 12 million Thai women across the country have already registered to become the fund's members and the government plans to disburse the remaining 80 per cent of its earmarked budget for supporting the operation of the official fund in early December 2012. (TNA)
