Three suspects' trial adjourned to September 15

Manama, Aug. 14 (BNA): General Advocate Haroun Alzayani said the High Criminal Court's fourth circle today considered the case in which three suspects, including a religious figure, were involved in unlicensed fundraising and money laundering. The suspects carried out transactions to hide the source of their moneys and to add some legitimacy to these illegally-collected funds. The court was held in public in compliance with the law. One of the suspects attended and the two others absented themselves despite the fact that they had been notified ahead of today's session. The court decided to adjourn their trial until the session on September 15 to name an attorney on behalf of the attending suspect and to notify the two suspects who absented from today's hearing.
