Tonnes Of CPO Inundate Dumai Beach

Dumai, Riau province, Jan 11 (ANTARA) - Tonnes of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) leaked from PT Kreasi`s storage tank and inundated the Dumai beach, Riau, on Friday. The leakage occurred during refuelling. Lack of proper supervision resulted in the leakage of tonnes of CPO. The Chief of Patrol and Observation Office at the Dumai Port, Edison Simorangkir, said his colleagues are investigating the issue. "We are waiting for an explanation from the related company," he said. According to a security officer at the local port, CPO had started leaking on January 10. PT Kreasi has not made any further comment on this incident.
