Tourism in Prachuap Khiri Khan's Kui Buri promoted

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, Feb 24 (TNA) -- The western province of Prachuap Khiri Khan has organised an activity to promote tourism in the eastern side of Kui Buri district, particularly at the Khoa Sam Roi Yod National Park, which in known as the Guilin of Thailand, where visitors can enjoy a 360-degree view of the scenery and take a cruise along the local canal to experience the district's natural beauty. Deputy Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan Theeraphan Nantakij presided over the launching ceremony of the activity to promote tourism at Khao Daeng View Point, cruise along the Khao Daeng canal or the Guilin of Thailand, and the Sam Phraya beach, all of which are located within the Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park in Kui Buri district. The activity is co-organised by both the public and private sectors with an aim to promote tourism in the area, as the district possesses various tourist attractions in the east of the national park as well. Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park is equipped with beautiful canal, beach, and mountains, and is popular among both Thai and international tourists. Once the activity is launched, visitors would be able to tour the Khao Daeng View Point or take cruise along the canal throughout the whole day, where tourists are encouraged to visit the view point in the morning, have lunch on the Sam Phraya beach, and cross to the western territory to see the elephants at Kui Buri National Park in the afternoon. The 360-degree Khao Daeng view point is located about 320 metres above ground, taking around 30-40 minutes for a walk to the top. The view point is opened between 5.30am until 3.30 pm, whereas the rountrip canal cruise takes about 1.5 hours along the 3-4 kilometre distance of the canal. (TNA)
